Mainstage
The main stage changes its decor every year according to the featured country: an orange windmill framed by Dutch facades in 2026. It hosts the biggest names and the main fireworks, on the Saturday night.

📍 Flugplatz Neustadt-Glewe · Neustadt-Glewe, Germany
Airbeat One's 25th anniversary on the Neustadt-Glewe airfield in Mecklenburg, themed on Australia: for the first time the official programme starts on the Wednesday. David Guetta brings his Monolith show to the Mainstage on Saturday 10 July 2027.
Airbeat One takes place from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 July 2027 at Flugplatz Neustadt-Glewe, Neustadt-Glewe, Germany, across 5 days. 1 name is on the bill, led by David Guetta. It is one of 102 EDM, Techno, Hardstyle, House and Psytrance dates we list in Germany over the coming months.

Every July, the airfield of a 7,000-strong town in Mecklenburg turns into a whole country: since 2014, Airbeat One has rebuilt its Mainstage around a new destination, the Taj Mahal in 2019, a Dutch windmill in 2026.
The festival was born on 6 July 2002 on the Neustadt-Glewe gliding airfield, under the name Airbase One, set up by Music Eggert (ME-Events), an event-production company. About 1,000 people came to this first, strongly trance-oriented edition; by the third, the name had become Airbeat One, for trademark reasons.
After a year by a lake near Neu Zachun in 2007, the festival returned to the airfield and never left. The first Mainstage arrived in 2010, the Q-dance hardstyle stage in 2016, the techno Arena and cashless payment in 2018. Attendance followed: about 40,000 people a day in 2016, 65,000 in 2019. The 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled by the pandemic, and the 2022 comeback drew 200,000 visitors across the festival.
Since 2014, each edition has been a journey: the Maya world, ancient Rome, Asia, the United States, Great Britain, India, Italy, Germany for the 20th anniversary, France, Spain, then the Netherlands in 2026. The theme sets the decor of the Mainstage, the Arena and the grounds, and the official site tells each edition as a stage of the same travel diary.
In 2026 the organiser announced about 210,000 visitors across the festival, around 70,000 a day, for some 350 artists on nine stages and over 465 hours of music. The Mainstage was a windmill 180 m wide and 45 m high, the Harder Stage a lion's head taken from the arms of the County of Holland. The 2027 edition celebrates the festival's 25th anniversary, themed on Australia.

The site's second stage, for hardstyle, rawstyle and hardcore, presented by BassQuake in 2026. Its decor usually draws on the animal kingdom: a monumental lion's head in 2026.

The psytrance stage, run by the Indian Spirit Festival team, under a huge colourful sail the organiser describes as Europe's largest awning.

Opened in 2026 in the woods bordering the grounds, and linked to them by a bridge, The Face programmes melodic techno and house beneath a monumental face wearing headphones.

By day it is the VIP Village stage, by its sandy beach; in the evening it becomes the Butterfly Stage, open to every ticket holder, with the dance hits of the last twenty years.

A tent city around the airfield: Main and VIP campsites (car next to the tent), car-free North, and Special with ready-pitched tents. They open on the Wednesday morning, and the Festivalplaza links them to the grounds.
The early trance gave way to one stage per family of styles: EDM and big names on the Mainstage, hardstyle and hardcore on the Harder Stage, techno under the Arena big top, psytrance on the Second Stage, EDM and radio house at the Terminal, dance classics on the Butterfly Stage. In 2026 came The Face (melodic techno and house), Groove Castle (groove techno) and The Cube (techno and schranz).
The bill mixes international headliners and the German scene: Zedd, Marshmello, DJ Snake and Armin van Buuren in 2018, Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers in 2019, then in 2026 Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Boris Brejcha, Lilly Palmer and Scooter, Paul van Dyk on the Second Stage and Cascada on the Butterfly. For 2027 the organiser has announced David Guetta's Monolith show on the Mainstage, with the rest of the bill not yet published.
