British electronic group formed in 1987, born of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith meeting in Cardiff. Their progressive techno laced with spoken word took hold with the album Dubnobasswithmyheadman (1994), then with "Born Slippy .NUXX", carried by the Trainspotting soundtrack in 1996. Darren Emerson was the third member from 1990 to 2000.
