Born in Banbury, England in 1970 and raised in LaSalle, near Windsor, Ontario, Richie Hawtin took part in Detroit techno's second wave in the early 1990s and became a leading minimal techno figure. He records as Plastikman and F.U.S.E., the latter's album "Dimension Intrusion" (1993) appearing in Warp's Artificial Intelligence series. He co-founded the Plus 8 label with John Acquaviva in 1990, launched M-nus in 1998, ran the weekly ENTER. party at Space in Ibiza from 2012 to 2015, and designed the MODEL 1 mixer in 2016.
