Ellen Fraatz, born in West Berlin, has been DJing in the city's clubs since 1992 and shapes an experimental techno close to IDM, over which she sometimes sings in German and English. She founded the BPitch Control label in 1999 and released Berlinette (2003), Thrills (2005) and Orchestra of Bubbles (2006) with Apparat.
