Todd Edwards
Todd Edward Imperatrice, born in 1972 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, has been producing garage house since 1992. His chopped micro-sampled vocal style, introduced on "Guide My Soul" (1993) for Nervous Records and cemented by "Saved My Life" (1995), became a template for UK garage and speed garage. Daft Punk had him sing and co-produce "Face to Face" on Discovery. Defected has since acquired his catalogue.
