The Avalanches

HouseTechnoDiscoExperimental

The Avalanches are an Australian electronic group formed in Melbourne in 1997, now made up of founding members Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi plus multi-instrumentalist Andy Szekeres. They work in plunderphonics, music built entirely from sampled records, and their first album Since I Left You (2000) is widely treated as a benchmark of the genre. Wildflower (2016) and We Will Always Love You (2020) followed. On stage they combine live playing with DJing.
