Andy Baumecker, aka nd_baumecker, started out in Frankfurt in the early 1990s: spotted by Heiko and Ata of the Playhouse label, he worked in their Delerium record shop and held a residency at WildPitchClub. He went on to run the Freu_nd and then Freundinnen labels. He moved to Berlin in 2004, became a Berghain resident and formed the duo Barker & Baumecker with Sam Barker, whose records have appeared on Ostgut Ton since 2010.
