Danilo Plessow, born in 1985 and based in Stuttgart, has produced as Motor City Drum Ensemble since 2007, a nod to Detroit as much as to Germany's own 'motor city'. A drummer since childhood and a school big-band player, he builds a house sound steeped in jazz, disco and the groove of Moodymann and Theo Parrish, collected on the Raw Cuts compilations. He mixed a DJ-Kicks in 2011 and a Fabric Presents in 2021.
