Mathew Jonson is a Canadian producer and DJ from Vancouver, now based in Berlin. Trained on classical piano and jazz drums, he got his hands on a synthesiser at nine and released his first single, "New Identity", on the British Columbia label Itiswhatitis in 2001. He co-founded the Wagon Repair label in 2005 and also plays in the groups Cobblestone Jazz and Midnight Operator. His live sets are performed in real time on analogue gear rather than played back from prepared files.
