

KMRU is the stage name of Joseph Kamaru, an ambient musician born in Nairobi, Kenya, and now based in Berlin. As a child he played guitar and sang in a choir, then discovered electronic music in high school after finding a copy of FL Studio on the school computers. He works from field recordings, piano and synthesizers, and released almost twenty records on Bandcamp between 2017 and 2021.
