John Morales
A Bronx DJ since the early 1970s, John Morales started splicing tape with razor blades in 1975 to make his records last longer, and was among the first to produce "extended mixes" and medleys, initially issued as acetates through Sunshine Sound. His first two official mixes, "Dance and Shake Your Tambourine" (Universal Robot Band) and "I'm Caught Up" (Inner Life), made his name; he has since worked on more than five hundred songs, alone and with Sergio Munzibai as M & M Productions.
