Kode9 is the stage name of Steve Goodman, an electronic artist, DJ and founder of the Hyperdub label, born in 1973 in Glasgow. He was one of the founding members of the early dubstep scene alongside his collaborator The Spaceape, with whom he made the albums "Memories of the Future" (2006) and "Black Sun" (2011). Hyperdub has released Burial, DJ Rashad, Zomby and Fatima Al Qadiri. He holds a PhD in philosophy and published "Sonic Warfare" in 2009.
