Julian McCarthy, known as MCR-T, is a Berlin-born DJ, producer and rapper, and a central figure in the Live From Earth collective. He taught himself production on Ableton around 2015 and released his first EP, Kraft, on the Live From Earth Klub imprint in 2018. His music crosses ghetto-tech, Miami bass, hip-hop and techno, layering rapped hooks over fast tempos.
