Bobbie Merveille, born in Seattle in 1983 and raised in Japan until she was fourteen, first DJed as DJ Heavygrinder before taking the Marie Vaunt alias in 2018. Based in Los Angeles, she produces fast, acid-leaning techno in which her Japanese roots surface, as on "Kurayami". She has released on Drumcode and on HILOMATIK, HI-LO's label.
