Chicane is the stage name of Nicholas Bracegirdle, an English musician, DJ and producer born in 1971 in Chalfont St Giles. He is behind "Offshore", "Saltwater", sung by Clannad's Máire Brennan, and the UK number one "Don't Give Up" with Bryan Adams. His debut album "Far from the Maddening Crowds" came out in 1997; its follow-up "Behind the Sun" (2000) was certified gold in the UK.
